Computer Guided Implant Surgery

Precise Implant Placement with Latest Technology
Computer guided implant surgery uses cutting-edge technology to aid in the planning and surgical placement of your dental implants. It is a revolutionary procedure routinely performed at BC Perio Dental Health and Implant Centre, Which uses the latest technology to allow for precise implant placement, while potentially avoiding additional bone grafting procedures. It is the fastest and most accurate way to receive dental implants.

Computer guided implant surgery is minimally invasive, making it very precise, safe, and virtually pain-free. This benefits the patient in that there is less discomfort after the surgery, less swelling and less bruising. Patients can often resume their normal activities the next day.

The doctors at BC Perio Dental Health and Implant Centre customize each unique computer guided implant surgery to best fit each patient and their needs. Computer guided technology allows us to plan your treatment with the greatest accuracy and allows us to provide Teeth in One Day.

How does it work?
After one of our doctors completes a comprehensive dental examination in one of our offices in either Vancouver or Coquitlam and reviews your medical and dental history, a 3D Cone-Beam CT Scan x-ray of your jawbone is taken for guidance in treatment planning. Often a digital impression is taken as well.

This information allows for a 3D model of your jawbone, complete with custom digital teeth, to be generated.

Virtual reality software is then used to plan the implant surgery with great accuracy and fabricate a precise surgical guide to be used during the surgery. The results are a more accurate implant placement, less surgery time for you, and the possibility of receiving Teeth in One Day.
